Globe, Smart announce month-long free data for Pokemon Go

 Subsidiaries Touch Mobile (TM) and Talk N' Text (TNT) will also offer the same promo
MANILA, Philippines – PLDT chairman Manny V. Pangilinan handily pushed away some of the gloom the country has been experiencing the past days with a little announcement: Smart and TNT subcribers will be getting free data for the hit mobile game, Pokemon Go.

The telcom boss made the announcement on Twitter, Saturday, August 13

On the other hand, Globe's free data offer was announced 6 hours earlier on Twitter. It came with the requirement of having to download the data usage tracking app "Globe Switch." The promo will start 7 days later than the Smart offer, and will be capped at 1 gigabyte.



So whether you're Team Smart, Team Globe, Team Talk N' Text or Team Touch Mobile, you'll have options to catch 'em all for one month without worrying too much about your data consumption.
